Hello lads, the site that must not be named dont seem to be showing the game - would appreciate any working links that people have.

Also the starting line up would be handy as I fancy a flutter. Cheers!

I feel Bilic just isn't any use at getting a tune out of players.
I honestly believe that Ayew and Snodgrass (like Valencia and Sakho before them) have more to offer than we have seen.

I'm getting a little worried about Winston Reid. He's gone to the training camps but not played a minute of any game.
Perhaps he's sent off his preliminary application to join the sick notes brigade. He will then be interrogated by the fully fledged members,Carroll and Sakho,to see if his attitude( "couldn't give a shit. I'm earning loads of dosh by doing fuck all" ) is as well advanced as theirs. If so, he will be piped into the medical centre at Rush Green by a kilted New Zealander with Antonio and Kouyate also in attendance wondering what all the fuss is about.

I think even supporters of Bilic would admit that like most of our players he had a shit season last year crouching on the touch line like some Hunchback of Stratford.
He needs to lift his game and show he is moving forward
Another season like the last and it will be his last. Simples

Good to see Arnautovic in the box to pounce on a loose ball. Very much the kind of thing I hope to see Hernandez doing for us.

Great move for Martinez's goal, and a really good header from him. Perhaps it's down to him that Fletcher has moved on?

Didn't manage to see the game though as I wasn't at home, so no real idea over performance as a whole. Didn't look like Hart coud do much for either of the goals.

So we have one more game in Germany against some crap team whose name escapes me.
Perhaps the '100% fit ' Sakho will get a run out.
Don't hold your breath though.

"It's a big few months for Bilic. We have brought in real quality this window, now the eyes are on him to prove he can get the most from them."

Very much agree.

A lot went wrong last year, beginning with the transfer window and, at least in my opinion, a failure to qualify in Europe because no one was ready. Euros made our best player and our manager way too big on themselves.

Better window so far on paper and hopefully lessons learned, see what happens and see if he is the manager he showed in his first season.

If not, please do not do another lame duck half season, waiting for the contract to run out.

It's a big few months for Bilic. We have brought in real quality this window, now the eyes are on him to prove he can get the most from them.

I would have liked a new manager this season but in all honesty I just want him to show he can do it. For me it's not about safety, it's about performing to our potential. If he can do it then he deserves a new contract, if he doesn't after three months of the new season then he should go.

However I feel there might be another Sullivan fudge and any under-performance he will just limp on to the end of the season without a contract renewal and the players not bothering because they know he's gone.

But I agree we can't judge him on pre season friendlies. Let's see after 8 games, I think you'll find that most seasons most teams positions don't change much after 8 games.

I'm an " I love Slav " bod and I haven't disappeared dancer but thank you for your concern.

Like most sensible supporters I appreciate that it's a pre season friendly and I don't look too much into it.

However the knicker wetters are getting nicely steamed up about it.

Declan Rice has just put in a transfer request, seems he is being stalked by some creep called Norman

Despite the awful memories of the style of play before we began last season let alone this, it's nailed on that we il again be one of the unfittest sides in the PL.

I hope Masuako starts as our first choice left back, looked our best player.

Re: Streams for Werder Bremen
Declan Rice I have kept my eye on for a while.

He's nailed on to be a top player imo.

His attitude.. maturity..character and leadership qualities are spot on to succeed...besides the fact he's a bloody talented young Defender.
I rate Burke also...but this lad is and will be better.
Oxford I'm not sure..I question his hunger and desire...to laid back and expects success...don't always work that way.

Bilic did the same with Cresswell re. Rice in mid. Claimed to like getting the defenders in their to get them used to being comfortable on and receiving the ball.

Pre season games should not be shown. People look into them far too much.

Re: Streams for Werder Bremen
Bilic was certainly found wanting at times last season. Tactically he was woeful at times and the motivation of the players right up until the Arsenal game looked shot (not to mention the apparent lack of fitness)

But in the same way I expect some players to improve on last season I'm hoping to see more from the manager also - there was fight in the side towards the end of last year, and with better players at his disposal you'd like to think we can perform to a better standard than last season.

That said, if this turns out not to be the case, the time to judge that is how we perform throughout the season - not in a meaningless kickabout in which the best XI doesn't play and there are wholesale changing part way through the match.
